Although we have an active association in Ireland running our own affairs through a committee elected from all 4 Provinces, to avoid duplication and save cost we pay membership sub's to our International head office in England and share the benefits with them. A major benefit is the Class Insurance scheme which for 2008 has been arranged through;

The GP14 Season finale took place over the weekend with the  Hot Toddy which took place at Sutton Dinghy Club. With a dire forecast in place for Sunday the race officer wisely sailed 4 races in difficult windy conditions on Saturday. Sligo Yacht Club dominated the event with Timmy Corcoran & Brendan Brogan winning the event outright with Henry/Geraghty in 2nd and O'Connor/MacHale in third place overall.

Johnny Park and Bob Stinson took the honours in the Silver fleet with Alex Walsh and Paul McCarthy from SSBC winning the Bronze fleet in their newly aquired boat. Click on the link below for full results and a full event report;

The Hot Toddy was also the grand finale  in the Speed Sails League 2008 and the winners of the Leagues were;

Gold: Tim Corcoran & Brendan Brogan SYC

Silver: Ken & Ryan Louden LFYC

Bronze: Peter Collings & Jane Holland SDC
