Notice of Race

Newtownards Sailing Club will host the GP14 Championships of Ireland on 28,^th 29^th and 30^th August 2010.   The organizing authority for the event will be the GP14 Class Association of Ireland in conjunction with Newtownards Sailing Club and the RYA.

1.       Racing Rules

1.1                All races will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of the RYA, the rules of the GP Fourteen Class International Association, this Notice of Race and any amendments thereto.

1.2                RRS Appendix G2 applies.    The event is designated a Category C event.

2.       Eligibility

2.1                All boats shall have valid Class Certificates of registration and measurement issued prior to the date of the commencement of the championship.

2.2                All boats must be helmed by a paid up member of the G. P. Fourteen Class International Association.

3.       Entry Fee

An entry fee of £65 is payable for entries received five days prior to the event.    Entry forms should be sent by post to Newtownards Sailing Club (see address below).

4.       Schedule of Races.

A briefing will be held at 11.00 hours on Saturday 28^th August 2010.

Seven races are scheduled. The schedule of races and times of warning signal are;

5.       Sailing Instructions

Copies of the Sailing Instructions will be available on registration at the Race Office.

6.       Registration

Registration will be from 1930 – 2230 hours on Friday 27^th ^h August 2010 and again 0900 -1100 hours on Saturday 28^th August 2010.
